Human Rights and Democracy Media Center- SHAMS, affirmed that the statements of the Israeli political, security, and military leaders, reflect a racist radical extreme political thought against Palestinians. The statements of the leaders of the Israeli government reveal a condescending glance, which is equal to the behavior and thoughts of the Fascist states during World War II against other nations and races. Releasing such statements by the Israeli leaders reflects the criminal and revenge thoughts among those leaders and that they lack any ethical values where it is sure that the leaders of the Israeli occupation have no moral or ethical values since the beginning.
SHAMS Center deplores the continuation of releasing such statements by Israeli leaders against Palestinians, which reflects the tendency to kill Palestinians and uproot them from their land. In the past, these statements were released by Israeli officials, but since October 7, these statements have been interpreted into a systematic policy. Since the mentioned date, the statements have been released for the sake of incitement for killing and displacing Palestinians and committing various forms of crimes against Palestinians. The statements of the Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, in a press conference in Paris, to burn out Hiwara Town- Nablus, provoked international public opinion at that time. However, after October 7, such statements are released by more than one Israeli leader and minister, but with no reaction from the world. On a related note, the statement made by the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, on 28/10/2023, stands as a model of such discourse. During his speech, addressed to the Israeli army, he invoked the Torah Tale of the Amalek, stating, “Be prepared to conquer the Gaza Strip and recall what the Amalek did to you.” He reiterated this sentiment when referencing Genesis and the concept of a new beginning, implying the complete destruction of the Gaza Strip and a fresh start.
SHAMS Center emphasizes the statements made by the Minister of War, Yoav Galant, declaring the intention to block the entry of essential supplies into the Gaza Strip, including water, fuel, food, and electricity, and stating that they are fighting “human animals,” are deeply alarming. Additionally, remarks by the Deputy Speaker of the Knesset and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, Nessim Fattori, advocating the burning of the Gaza Strip and earlier suggesting the mass displacement of its residents to Scotland, represent another chapter in the ideological and political terrorism. Furthermore, statements by Israel’s Minister of Heritage, Amihay Eliahu, advocating a nuclear strike and the extermination of Gaza’s population, along with repeated declarations by the so-called Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, calling for the expulsion of West Bank and Gaza Strip residents to other countries, and Israeli political analyst Tzvi Yehezkeli on Channel 13 urging the simultaneous killing of 100,000 Palestinians, collectively underscore the racist and fascist nature of such expressions.
SHAMS Center strongly condemns these racist and fascist statements, which reflect the extent of brutality, bloodlust, and terrorism among Israeli politicians. They also highlight the narrowness and limitations of the Israeli political mindset that advocates the annihilation of the other, a clear call for premeditated and deliberate killing. This reflects the vision of the extremist Israeli government, which denies the existence and legitimate rights of Palestinians in their state. It demonstrates to the world that the occupying state does not believe in a political solution and relies on the legitimacy of force and war, challenging the international community and relevant United Nations resolutions, which stress the necessity of Israel’s withdrawal from the territories occupied in 1967, the Palestinians’ right to establish their state on their national land, and the return of refugees to their homes according to Resolution 194.
SHAMS Center underscores that the statements made by Israeli officials are fundamentally rooted in Zionist ideology, which draws upon Torah-based religious thinking. This ideology does not recognize the “other,” considering non-Jews as demonic souls close to animals. It contends that killing non-Jewish children is not a crime and is not divinely punishable, referencing the Book of Joshua in the Torah. Notably, this ideology is formally taught in schools and religious institutions in Israel.
While European Union countries and the United States are engaging in discussions and sessions, even in Brussels, to review the Palestinian curriculum, protesting certain terms, dates, historical events, and battle names, they overlook the racist Talmudic Torah-based ideology taught in Israeli schools. This ideology advocates the annihilation of the “other” and views non-Jews with a condescending, racist perspective based on distorted Torah-based religious beliefs.
SHAMS Center asserts that the threats, incitement, and statements issued by Israeli ministers and officials constitute a serious violation of international human rights law, especially the Declaration on the Enhancement of the Effectiveness of the Principle of Refraining from the Threat or Use of Force in International Relations. This declaration, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly under Resolution 42/22 on December 18, 1987, emphasizes that every state must refrain from threatening or using force against the regional integrity or political independence of any other state, conflicting with the purposes of the United Nations. Such threats or use of force violate international law, and the United Nations Charter, and entail international responsibility.
SHAMS Center calls on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, the International Red Cross, and the accredited ambassadors of European countries and their governments to urgently intervene and act to halt these statements emanating from the Israeli occupation government, which directly call for killing, terrorism, and incitement to murder Palestinians and their annihilation.
